TMS and Communications Cloud

Segments in Communications Cloud

Raw report data from TMS provide important knowledge about the messages you send and impact how you continue to craft and send messages. Getting data may influence your decisions, but applying the data is where rubber meets the road.

With Segmentation, you can filter subscribers by their targeted message (TMS) activity:

  • Received a specific email message sent through TMS within a given time frame

  • Opened a specific email message sent through TMS within a given time frame

  • Clicked a specific email message sent through TMS within a given time frame

Segments are automatically updated to reflect the most recent subscriber activities.

Once your audience is segmented, you can automate the communications a segment receives based on activity. Create a message or campaign and associate it with the segment you created that’s based on TMS activity. As activity changes, Communications Cloud picks up the change and automatically sends your message.
